Job Description:

We are looking for experienced VFX Compositors to join Jimsonweed Studios creative team and contribute to high-end film and episodic productions. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for realism, visual continuity and cinematic storytelling and is comfortable handling complex shots from setup to final delivery within a structured pipeline environment.

This role requires a balance of artistic sensitivity and technical rigor, working closely with VFX Supervision, CG, FX and Production to ensure shots meet the highest creative and technical standards.

Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality compositing work for feature films and high-end episodic projects, integrating CG, FX and live-action plates with a strong focus on realism and narrative intent. Perform advanced keying, rotoscoping, cleanup, set extensions and image manipulation as required by the shot. Work closely with the VFX Supervisor and other departments to maintain visual consistency and continuity across sequences. Manage shots through all stages of production, responding efficiently to feedback and iterations. Ensure all work complies with pipeline standards, color management requirements and delivery specifications. Troubleshoot and resolve technical or artistic issues while working under production deadlines.

Requirements:

Proven professional experience as a Compositor in film and/or high-end episodic VFX, supported by a strong portfolio. Advanced proficiency in Nuke is mandatory. Solid understanding of color theory, lighting, photography and lens behavior, with experience working in EXR-based pipelines and ACES color workflows. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment. Strong attention to detail, shot ownership and organizational skills. Professional-level English, both spoken and written.

Nice to Have:

Experience with deep compositing workflows and familiarity with Houdini FX outputs and CG pipelines. Previous experience working in pipeline-driven or multi-site studio environments. On-set VFX or plate supervision experience is considered a plus.
